There is always a good reason to stay a little further in Roskilde.
One of them is the weekly train for classic and veteran cars at Roskilde Town Hall.
Every Thursday evening from April to October, the car park turns into a colorful spectacle, there is a clean steam for car enthusiasts and others with gasoline in the blood.
Here you will find both racing retro sports cars, sparkling floats, modest everyday cars from earlier times and 'rolling car projects'.
Common to the cars is that they have a minimum of 25 years on the bag and still running.
The car race started randomly as a private initiative in 2005, when a local couple Anne and Jakob Leth was a tour of Roskilde Harbor in their own classic car.
They wanted to meet with others with the same passion, spread the word - and soon two cars became a lot.
In fact, so many that you can count up to 500 cars today on a cool summer evening.
So there are lots of cool classics and 'veterans' to watch - and have the opportunity to have a good chat with the proud car owners.
Also sip a homemade hotdog at the 'sausage bread' - an old VW (of course), which has been converted to a mobile sausage car.
